Football season is in full swing, and there’s no better place to catch the big game than at The Still. There are countless reasons to head to The Still, from our upscale bar food to the fact that we’re showing football games four times a week. While all of our TVs (you won’t miss that big pass or that game-changing touchdown) and spacious bar are great reasons to join us, perhaps the biggest reason to catch the game at The Still is our beer selection.
For a great game, you need a great beer, and we have plenty of them at The Still. With 50 craft beers, our menu is loaded with selections – so how do you choose? Here are some of our favorite beers for football season.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Light and refreshing, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a beer you can sip on through an entire game without feeling weighted down or overwhelmed by flavor. This beer is also versatile enough to pair with many game-day foods, and because of its lighter flavor, it’s perfect for drinking with chicken wings since it won’t amp up the spice.
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
Plan to enjoy a pizza, nachos, or pigs in a blanket during the game? You’ll need a beer that will pair with those flavors. The Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA is a great choice. It has just a hint of caramel, so it will enhance the flavors of your food.
This Lager, which you have to enjoy with a slice of lime, is delicious on its own but also goes so well with our tacos. It helps to balance out the salt of the dish and is ideal for game day.
At just 110 calories, Bud Light makes a great choice if you know you’ll be having multiple drinks but are looking for something health-friendly. Plus, it’s the official beer of the NFL, so how could you go wrong? You can drink Bud Light during the entire game without feeling guilty. If you’re looking for other lower-calorie beers, consider Corona Lite, Coors Light, or Miller Lite.
Looking for a full-bodied beer? The Guinness Draught is a great choice, with its chocolate and coffee notes. With a tough of roasted flavor and a creamy, smooth palate, this beer is a top favorite both during sports teams and during post-game celebrations.
Stella Artois Cidre
While not technically a beer, Stella Artois Cidre deserves to be on this list. It’s gluten-free and offers a light, refreshing flavor that’s perfect for pre-gaming or a late game changeup.
Join Us at The Still for Football Season
We’ll have all of the best games on at The Still this football season, and since games kick off early on weekends, we open up early and offer breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. Join us for Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football, College Football Saturdays, and Red Zone Sundays. You’re welcome to request a certain game, and we’ll do our best to make that happen, though usually we choose our games based on the number of team fans who are present.
If you’d like to catch a game at The Still, we suggest you make reservations, since our seating can get filled up with some of the more popular games. To reserve a table for most games, we require a $50.00 food and beverage minimum per person, though we do also welcome walk-ins as long as we have space.
Not only do we offer an amazing beer selection, along with the option to buy a bucket of beers for your table, but you’ll also be able to choose from all of your game-day favorite foods at The Still. Our upscale bar food includes favorites like Mini Cheese Burgers, Tacos, and even a Philli Cheese Steak Panini, or you can indulge in Prime Steak Tip Skewers, Beer Battered Fish & Chips, and even a Lobster Roll. No matter how long the game goes on for, we have enough selections on the menu to keep your whole group happy.
Victory is sweet, and we’ll be glad to help you celebrate. Order another round of beers along with some dessert, like our Deep Fried Oreos or our Fried PB&J.
